Faith no more han vuelto! y he estado alli para verlo...Festival Sudoeste,Zambujeira do mar 08-08-09

Pues no,el de la foto no soy yo,sino el capitan de la seleccion estadounidense de futbol,Landon Donovan;un gran jugador,que ayudo el pasado miercoles a callar muchas bocas de periodistas españoles que decian que España iba a golear por 5 o 6 goles a la mediocre seleccion americana...pues no,al final la mediocre fue España y USA se metio en la final de la Copa Confederaciones que jugara hoy domingo contra Brasil.
USA!!!

Mañana se cumple un año de mi participacion en el programa de TVG "Cifras e letras"...hice lo que pude,y aunque perdi al menos casi reconocieron que el diccionario de referencia que usan esta bastante incompleto...

Si,si,si!!! por fin un remake de Resident Evil 2!!! (aunque sea un shooter sobre railes en 1ªpersona para la Wii)

Y a la mierda del Resident 5 que le den muy mucho.

Me he disfrazado de mas cosas en 1 semana que en mas de 10 años...

Aqui estoy,he visto uno de los mejores conciertos de mi vida en el Coliseum de la Coruña...si,los grandes Whitesnake (o lo que es lo mismo,David Coverdale con 5 musicos mas).Los teloneros fueron unos tales Riff Raff,un grupo de tributo a AC/DC,que lo hicieron mas que bien,y el sonido fue espectacular (nada que ver con la cagada de sonido que hubo en la puta Riviera del maldito Madrid el dia de Journey).Whitesnake enormes,grandes solos,gran voz,sentimiento,potencia,y sobre todo la sensacion de estar viendo a un clasico viviente del rock'n'roll.Inolvidable...
Hoy me han quitado una muela de juicio y estoy de mala leche.

Un buen dia como hoy,hace exactamente 10 años,carteles como este empezaban a verse en algunas calles de mi ciudad:




Resident Evil 2,secuela del juego que revoluciono el genero del horror en los videojuegos,saldria a la luz en España el dia 29 de Abril de 1998.Varias tiendas del pais se disponian a abrir sus puertas a las 12 de la noche del dia anterior para vender el juego;pero en mi ciudad una tienda decidio comenzar a venderlo a las 5 de la tarde del dia 28...por lo que se puede decir que fui uno de los primeros en comprar el juego y tenerlo en mis manos en España.
Capcom se empleo a fondo para mejorar hasta limites insospechados lo logrado con Resident Evil,para ello no dudaron en tirar a la basura lo hecho con el Resident Evil 2 ya acabado,cancelado que tenia previsto salir a la luz un año antes del definitivo,aqui podeis ver un video del aspecto que mostraba:

El definitivo Resident Evil 2 fue un juego revolucionario,vendio 2 millones de copias el 1er dia que salio a la venta en Japon;con 2 historias diferenciadas dependiendo del personaje (Leon Kennedy o Claire Redfield)Y 2 subtramas dependiendo de con que personaje comiences el juego...un total de 4 aventuras complementarias y diferenciadas,imagenes en FMV que mejoraban con creces cualquier cosa vista previamente en una consola,y una jugabilidad mas ajustada.En resumen,un juego antologico,terrorifico,a mi modo de ver la mejor entrega de la serie,a la que rindo homenaje cuando nadie parece acordarse de su decimo aniversario,y que recomiendo encarecidamente a cualquier fan del cine de terror y de zombies.

Un juego legendario,que marco mi vida y la de millones de fans del genero,y que recomiendo que jugueis al menos una vez en la vida,ya sea en su version de Playstation o en sus versiones posteriores en PC,Nintendo 64,Dreamcast o Gamecube.

Uno de los mejores conciertos de mi vida,asi defino lo que vi el 15 de Febrero en el Warehouse live de Houston.Dokken comenzo la velada ofreciendo un greatest hits en version acustica...no faltaron temas como Into the fire o la cancion que daba titulo a la 3a parte de Pesadilla en Elm st.,Dream warriors.Don Dokken estaba hecho una mierda fisicamente pero hizo lo que pudo y fue emocionante,la verdad.Lo mejor estaba por venir...unos Queensryche en plena forma,con un Geoff Tate pletorico ofreciendo un concierto sin fisuras...temas de Operation Mindcrime 1 y 2,Empire,rarezas...el mejor grupo de prog-metal del planeta? quizas.No tengo palabras...

Y aqui mi homenaje a mi cantante favorito,el inimitable Steve Perry...muchos pensabamos que tras la destitucion de Jeff Scott Soto como cantante de Journey se reunirian de nuevo con Steve o se separarian...pero no,Neal Schon acaba de anunciar que tras una ardua busqueda tienen nuevo cantante;se llama Arnel Pineda,es filipino y cantaba en un grupo de versiones AOR.Su interpretacion de "Don't stop believin'" me ha dejado muy pero que muy sorprendido,y creo que lo hara infinitamente mejor que los cantantes post-Perry que no le llegaban ni a la suela del zapato.
